Welcome to Farmer’s Leap Wines – we would like to take you on a journey of wine discovery. We want to tell you of our passion for Shiraz, our vineyard and the people behind Farmer’s Leap.

In some ways we are new - although the vineyard is over 15 years old. Our first vintage under our own label was 2004 and was motivated by the results of tasting many wines in the Padthaway region and knowing that our vineyard was up there with the best. Not only in Padthaway but in comparison to other cool climate regions in Australia. And as a Shiraz specialist, we were excited at the prospects of producing wines that were single site (vineyard) sourced. We wanted wines that were a pure expression of our toil in the vineyard and commitment to the highest standards in winemaking.

As Farmers we have taken the leap – some say a Brave leap – to produce wines that fully reflect this unique wine region. No short cuts, no compromise. We hope you enjoy the journey with us.
